Today actually went pretty well.
FOOD: I didn't consume any gluten or dairy! I ate cabbage soup, fruit, chicken breast, pistachios and veggies. With dinner I made a cauliflower puree and added garlic and chives. Delicious and satisfying! However, I came down with a horrible sugar craving and ended up caving and eating some gluten and dairy free dark chocolate chips. Not the worst - but seriously not the best.
SKIN: Today my skin seems moisturized - no new breakouts. Only one active spot on the bottom of my left chin. Just some hyper pigmentation in a few areas from healing spots. I cleansed with Kiss my Face creamy cleanser, and moisturized with hemphemphooray skin soothe. Let's see if things get better or worse.
Current supplements: DHEA 10mg, Pregnenalone 100mg, Probiotic Complex, Fermented cod liver oil, Vitamin D

today is the beginning. a fresh start in my journey to health. the last three years have been up and down, and back up and down again. i would like to use this blog to keep track of my progress, log my failures and successes.
my main goal is to cure my acne, adrenal fatigue, low energy, digestive problems, candida, low self esteem and reach my fitness goals through diet and whole food living. over the last three years, after trying to put a "bandaid" on chronic problems with symptom relieving treatments that do not work, i've realized that i need to treat the root problems - in my case dairy, sugar and gluten.
i have made lousy attempts at removing gluten, dairy and sugar from my diet before and reaped benefits! - but it seems to keep finding its way back into my lifestyle and now i am back to being completely unbalanced, ailed with recurring issues, with an all too familiar feeling of hopelessness weighing down on me. before i was introduced to holistic living and the importance of diet and finding out my food sensitivities, i did the whole run around spending SO much money on "magical products", and supplements. recently i've found myself slipping back into that way of thinking.but this is the end of it.
im saying goodbye to dairy, gluten and sugar. the three evils in my life.
i am going to start out with a cleanse. i will be eating homemade vegetable soup, green smoothies, lean proteins and quinoa (because it seems to be the only grain gentle enough on my gut), taking flax seed and cod liver oil. i will be tracking my progress (energy, acne, digestion etc).
SO here goes!
